２月の市庁舎 (City Hall in February)

時期により、色々な顔を見せてくれる市庁舎ですが、２月はなんと！スケートリンクが出来ていました（＾－＾）うわさには聞いていましたが・・・本当にすごいです！そしておもしろい試み。１２月にはクリスマスマーケットでたくさんの屋台があったところも今はスケートリンクです（笑）市庁舎の建物前と広場の周りにはリンク、そして中央には食べ物の屋台、向かって右側にスケート靴のレンタルもありました。


写真左側にちょっと写ってますが、小さな歩道橋みたいなものがあってそれを渡って進みます。（その下にはリンクが通っています）


リンクはこんな感じです。このリンクは入り口あたりのものです。ちょっと光ってますが、氷なのが分るでしょうか？


最近は天気がよく暖かい日があったので、氷がだんだん解けてきています。私が行った時には入り口あたりのリンクにはあまり人がいなくて、市庁舎の建物前のリンクでたくさんの人が滑っていました。広場の中は地面に木の板が敷き詰めてあって、スケート靴のままでも歩き周れるようになっていました。そして、即席のカフェや、仮設トイレもあるという充実ぶりです。滑って→カフェでお茶→トイレ→滑るという流れがばっちりです★老若男女とわずみんな楽しそうに滑っていて見ていて楽しかったです（＾－＾）私は皆さんのように優雅に滑る自信がなかったので、今回は辞退しました・・・こんな天気のいい日に思うままに滑れたら気持ちがいいだろうなぁ～♪

According to a season, in front of the city hall of Vienna, we can find various events. In February, there was a skating rink. Although someone told me about this event previously, I was very impressed when I saw it. The skating rink covers the square, where we had a Xmas market in December. There are several stands and a ticket booth with shoes rental.

We can enter the area surrounded by the skating rink through the bridge appearing on the left down corner of the second photo (below this bridge, we have a branch of the skating rink).

The third photo shows a part of the skating rink. This part is at the entrance of this square. Can you see the ice?

Since it is getting warmer and warmer these days, the ice was melting. When I went there, people avoided the part near the entrance and were gathered in front of the city hall building. To make it easer to walk with ice skates, the central square was covered by woods. To make a thing comfortable, there were a temporary cafeteria and a toilet. This allows us to skate after toilet after drinking a cup of tea after skating. I enjoyed to see the skating of men and women of all ages. Since I was not confident of skating well as everybody does, I hesitated to skate. I suppose that I would be very happy if I could skate as I want.
